Truth

"Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away." - Matthew 24:35

Last Sunday I have briefly shared that God by his grace has revealed two heavenly treasures in the midst of our Seven day prayer and fasting. And these are Love and Truth. Last week I shared about Love. Today allow me to describe briefly about Truth. In that time of prayer and fasting the word which came to my spirit was, "Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words willnever pass away." Honestly speaking that was not the kind word which I had expected, rather I longed to hear a specific word like "Only ask, and I will give you the nations as your inheritance,” or "I will give you hidden treasures,” or at the minimum "I will keep you from all harms." Despite I tried to pay no heed to the word "Heaven and earth..." its conviction increased. And later I could able to see that this word is indeed a treasure and key to life.

Truth never changes. Everything in this world will change except the word of God. The word of God is truth. Any one who depends on worldly things like power and money is doomed. If only we pray and do according to God's promises in the Bible, things will be much more different in our life and beyond in a better way. Although I dare not claim that God can only hear certain kinds of prayer, but I authoritatively speak that praying according to the word of God accomplishes much. You can take that to the bank.

Therefore, let us diligently read the word of God. Thomas Brook once said, “Remember that it is not hasty reading, but serious meditation on holy and heavenly truths, that makes them prove sweet and profitable to the soul. It is not the mere touching of the flower by the bee that gathers honey, but her abiding for a time on the flower that draws out the sweet. It is not he that reads most, but he that meditates most, that will prove to be the choicest, sweetest, wisest, and strongest Christian.”

What are you depending on?

What is truth for you?

Love and blessings
